Yaaay! On August 23rd, Marc and Emily gave birth to their first child, Logan Robert Lewis. We are super stoked for them and the rest of their extended family. Really looking forward to meeting the little man. Congrats Marc & Em! And welcome to the world Logan!

Wow, I saw this pop up in people's FB feeds this morning and am absolutely floored by how awesome it is. Using Google earth and HTML5, this interactive film takes you on your own customized adventure. Truly remarkable! Oh, only setback that it uses many of the protocols not readily available outside of Google's Chrome browser. If you have that browser, use it.

Dragon Age 2 - Destiny Trailer

I didn't play the first Dragon Age but after seeing this trailer for the first one, I certainly am considering picking both of them up. Just looks amazing, doesn't it? I don't even care that it's only a cinematic. If they put this much effort into the videos, the game MUST be fantastic. Looking forward to seeing more.

Welcoming Julia - Gallery

Family Support

With the birth of our first baby, Kathy and I found ourselves overwhelmed with questions and underwhelmed with answers. It is amazing to me how much a little one can take out of you and how much you have to rely on others to make it through some of the tough first days. Kathy's mom Carolyn stayed with us for just over two weeks and just left this weekend. Her help was immense and we're not sure we would be standing at this point without all that she did for us. We just wanted to give a nice big LOVE YOU and THANK YOU to Nana Skeie. Even with her departure, we will not be left without any support, luckily, as Grandma Seybold will be staying with us the majority of this week. Yaaay family! I'm not sure how some people get through these times without amazing support structures like we have in our families.

Idol's New Judge - Steven Tyler?

We all know that I'm not the type of guy that follows reality TV or blogs about celebrity goings-on, but we also know that it all changes when Idol is involved. After being a part of the Idol family for so many years, I have a hard time letting go of the mess that is now American Idol. In most recent news after Ellen has decided not to return, a new judge has been announced for next season. Steven Tyler! Really? Steven Tyler? Oh well, I'll believe anything from that show these days. In my opinion they should have tried to get Gene Simmons... that would have intrigued me enough to watch. Hmmmm... yup, this might do it too. Tyler is pretty much a mess, if what I hear of him lately is any indication of the truth. Darn you Idol, you win again.

The kit includes: Stainless steel stencil with all your favorite user interface iconography Zebra mechanical pencil 2 UI Stencils Stickers Downloadable .PDF letter or A4 paper template Pretty slick, I'd say. Not sure how often I would actually use the stencil set in real design work but it is sure a "cool-to-have" item that *might* up my designer street cred (which could certainly use a boost).

Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One

Oh boy, oh boy! A new Ratchet & Clank game is coming out and this one has co-op! Finally, the Mrs and I will be able to run around together and save the universe. Insomniac continues to put out great titles and I know that this one won't disappoint. Apparently, you can play co-op with friends over the network. Who wants to join in the fun? Dibs on playing as Quark.

Babies! Babies! Babies! (3)

Just 12 days after Kathy and I welcomed our little bundle of joy, Julia, into the world, my sister Stacey gave birth to a baby girl as well! This is her second daughter with her awesome husband Jon. We couldn't be happier for them and the girls as we have a feeling that being close in proximity and age might make them REAL close. Good times. Thus far, the little one doesn't have a name yet. I'll update you all when we all find out. Congratulations Stacey, Jon, Ayla & The New Little One!

Being that we didn't really have any cute girl outfits when Julia was born due to the fact that we waited to find out her sex, we have been pretty limited in our little girl choices. The trickle of flowery, pink, purple or other girl-themed clothing has begun though, and we were very excited to show off our little Sweet Pea last night at Leyton's 7th birthday party. How cute is this girl? Oh, and Happy Birthday Leyton!

Russian Wildfires - Big Picture

Images courtesy of Boston.com Once again, Boston.com's Big Picture has delivered some riveting footage of the wildfires that continue to rage throughout many parts of Russia. Much of these remind me of the horrible fires in Laguna back in '93. Horrifying. To see it on such a GRAND scale like here in Russia is truly tragic. Hopefully they get them contained soon.

We've had a few family visitors over the last 11 days and we were so happy to introduce all of them to Miss Julia. We started with Kathy's parents on the actual evening of her birth. The following day, Steve's mom, Sue, came by the hospital and met her. This last weekend we had the addition of Kathy's sister, Sheryl, and Steve's cousin and family as well. We love sharing our new bundle of joy with everyone, especially family. Who's next? Steve's Mom, Sue Sheryl & Kathy's Parents The Brennocks

Baby Julia - Day 4 Video (2)

Just having fun with our new baby girl. Ain't she the sweetest? We had quite a long day with Julia and in the evening she perked up and came to life. We were having so much fun that we decided that we had to capture some of it on video (well, our Nikon 5000). More to come, no doubt, as we have our cameras pointed at our little one pretty much all the time. Hopefully we don't burn everyone out on material.
