Here is my far-off-and-away video from my iPhone from the show. The quality is pretty ho-hum but hey, it is STILL super awesome. Later in the video you can see the magic that the projections on the wall portrayed. What a night!

Below are a few photos that I took throughout the show. Notice the different builds of the wall. As more and more of the wall was built, more images and video could be projected onto the canvas leading up to the dramatic "tear down". Remarkable. Show of a lifetime!

Pretty remarkable, right? Anyways, if you have the means and this show is coming to your town, I can't stress enough that you really NEED to go see it. You won't be sorry. I give you my trusted seal of approval™.

Lookout Panorama

I have been riding quite a bit lately, both on my road bike and my mountain bike. If you do that and you happen to live in the wonderful area that I do, that means that you have lookout mountain in your backyard.

It is quite an uphill climb for 10 miles but coming down is worth every tough uphill section.

The scenery is rediculous also and makes the entire trip a very rewarding experience. Love it. Looking forward to improving on my times and getting more in shape! Woop!

4 Years of Awesome

4 years ago Kathy and I got hitched. It has been a wonderful ride so far and I can't wait to see what awaits us in the future. Year 5 should be a doosey with our expanding family. We are truly blessed.

Daddy Daughter Dance

It's hard to tell who was more excited to go to the Daddy Daughter Dance last night. Both Julia and I got dressed to the 9's and danced the night away. What a great time. I hope there will be countless events like this in the future where I can spend more time with my little girl(s).

True Cost of an iPhone

This is the coolest thing you'll see today: an infographic about how much it costs to manufacture an iPhone. As you scroll down the infographic, which was designed by Glen Newcomer and Madeline Harris, slowly uncovers every bit of what it takes it create an iPhone. It starts off with how much Apple spends on design and how much money the company has actually made on the product. Then, we go through the whole process of how the iPhone is made from the ground up--literally, as the iPhone is made with material called Coltan, which is used in electronics for its heat-resistance abilities.

The end of the info graphic ends on the message that you can do things to ensure you're not being wasteful with your fancy device. Once you're ready to upgrade to the next one, it suggests that you sell your own iPhone to a friend, find an e-waste recycler near you, or skip the next generation.

Here is your inspiring story of the day. Meet Cain, a young boy who loves video game arcades so much that he decided to start creating a DIY one from scratch in his dad's auto parts store. The arcade is open on Saturdays and Sundays (by appointment) every weekend.

If I walked past this place, I'm pretty sure I'd be there all afternoon. So great!

Titanic at 100 Years

The sinking of the RMS Titanic caused the deaths of 1,517 of its 2,229 passengers and crew (official numbers vary slightly) in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history. The 712 survivors were taken aboard the RMS Carpathia. Few disasters have had such resonance and far-reaching effects on the fabric of society as the sinking of the Titanic. It affected attitudes toward social injustice, altered the way the North Atlantic passenger trade was conducted, changed the regulations for numbers of lifeboats carried aboard passenger vessels and created an International Ice Patrol (where commercial ships crossing the North Atlantic still, today, radio in their positions and ice sightings). The 1985 discovery of the Titanic wreck on the ocean floor marked a turning point for public awareness of the ocean and for the development of new areas of science and technology. April 15, 2012 will mark the 100th anniversary of the Titanic disaster. It has become one of the most famous ships in history, her memory kept alive by numerous books, films, exhibits and memorials.

Museum Julia

We just got back from our amazing tour around the northeast. We had such a great time visiting with friends and family. I am going to slowly throw out some media (photo & video) highlights from the trip over the next couple of days.

Here is a video of Julia in a museum breaking the law. She was so fascinated by how her voice echoed through the halls that she refused to stop chirping throughout.

Travel Posters For Lazy People

I got quite a kick out of these mock travel posters. I have my share of classic travel posters that I found a few years back. These mimick the style and tone of those, but are geared towards a new crowd of lazy travellers. There are many days where this is the kind of vacation that I wish for. Don't get me wrong, I love to romp around Europe with a backpack as much as I ever have, I just really like R&R.
